SR Retail Consultancy, is owned and run by Shahnila Rashid, a highly experienced retail expert with over 25 years’ experience in the industry in key, senior commercial roles with some of the most successful national and international retailers. Shahnila has built up a considerable understanding of the key strategic and operational challenges faced by retailers and brands today.

Background & Experience

Shahnila’s background is in the core areas of Buying & Merchandising, Strategic Commercial Planning, and Organisational Development, gained within a variety of different business models including Off-Price, Value retail, Department Stores and fast fashion chains. She has experience of store based retailers, multichannel organisations as well as pure play e-commerce businesses.

During her 25+ years, she has been exposed to the full range of business challenges, including international expansion, multichannel growth, turnaround, brand reinvention, new chain launch and e-commerce start-ups.

Now working as an independent consultant, Shahnila works with clients across the globe, helping their businesses to achieve their goals, by offering a bespoke, tailored approach, that addresses existing organisational challenges, develops plans for growth and drives performance.

Using a fact based and targeted methodology which is both customer centric and considering of organisational challenges, she ensures that her approach delivers results in a way that is sustainable and scalable, and is consistent with the Company’s Mission and Strategy.

A seasoned trader, Shahnila recognises the importance of collaboration to be able to deliver continuous business process improvement to ensure results are sustainable.

Most importantly, Shahnila believes that the success of any business is underpinned by its’ people. She has considerable experience in the area of organisational restructuring, change management and developing organisational capability.
